The Baby Tree

Thursday, 4-22-10
That is what we call this dogwood tree that we planted 4 years ago - Friday, 4-28-06.

I love dogwood trees. I think they are so beautiful and I love the color. A perfect choice to remember our little baby we lost at 7 weeks pregnant.

It was beautiful when we planted it.

And so much more now.

A Fishin' Trip

Thursday, 4-8-10

During Spring break Darin took Thursday and Friday off to spend with us. On Thursday he took the kids fishing. They were very excited to go. They would have rather gone in the boat, but Darin took them to the fishing pond.

On Friday we took the kids to the movies. This was Zach's first time sitting through a movie. We saw "How to Train your Dragon". We all really liked it. Zach did pretty good. We went to the afternoon showing, so that it wouldn't be so bad when he got up and walked around a bit. :-)

The kids loved having Dad home for so many days!

Elissa's First Game of the Season!

GO TIGERS!
Saturday, 4-17-10, 9:45am

Elissa was excited for this T-Ball season to start. She currently does not really like soccer, but she loves T-ball. She did a GREAT job today! At one point she comes up to me and says, "Mom, I'm not going to get the ball at all this time so that some of the other children can have a turn." Crack me up!

Ok, so I have to confess that I got 1/2 the amount of pictures for Elissa......bad mom. I got caught up in catching up with Holly (a Mom of one of Elissa's preschool friends) and forgot to take pictures. Oops! :-)

Sweet girl!

A few action shots!

Elissa's at bat!!

She is very happy with her batting and being on 1st base. :-)

Great job!

Here is what Zach was doing during the game......

Wrestling with Gaige and

he was also playing with the umbrella. Never thought of it as a toy. LOL!

A great first day of games!

Zach's First T-Ball Game!

GO CUBS!
Saturday, 4-17-10, 8:45am

The little 3 & 4 year olds were SO CUTE! They have no concept of the game at all, but they all love running for the ball. :-) They would be happy just playing one or two innings. It is very clear when they are done. Zach did so good though! Their favorite part is running through the parent tunnel at the end and snacks (of course)!

Ok, so I couldn't decide on just a few pics.....so let the series begin. :-)

Zach and Brady warming up.

Zach is diving for the ball!

Brady is throwing his famous "fly ball" pitch!

Zach's up to bat!!

No sweat Dad.

Waiting to go in the field.

Both guys missed the ball! :-)

Elissa and Karisma having fun waiting for their game to start.
Yeah, the tunnel!
They went through MANY times. :-)
It was a very fun game!
Now on to Elissa's.....

She's such a climber!

Tuesday, 4-6-10

Elissa's new obsession is climbing. Climbing over the fence or in a tree just off of our deck. She is constantly asking if she can go back there and climb. She especially loves having friends over to climb with her. :-)

Today it was her best bud, Olivia. Elissa tells me that they are true friends, real friends. They will ALWAYS be friends.

I LOVE this tulip tree! I think they are so beautiful.

Easter Day

Sunday, 4-4-10

After church we had Grandma & Papa and Nana over for lunch. Of course the festivities started with some Easter baskets for the kids and after dinner we had an indoor egg hunt. :-)

Zach was showing Papa some of his t-ball moves!

This was suppose to be a project for the kids and I, but we stayed out too late Saturday night. The kids went to bed and I decorated cupcakes. :-)

The Easter Egg Hunt!

It was hard for Elissa to let Zach find some too. When we told her to stop finding them, then she started finding them for Zach. We had to explain to her that that was no fun for Zach. :-)

Elissa made us wonderful Easter cards with help from Nana. Sweet girl!

Happy Easter!
