Father-Daughter Dance 2013

I love that the PTA gives our girls an opportunity to dress up and dance with their Dad's!

And Darin said that Elissa made him dance the night away this year! :-)

    

Hot Chocolate 5K/15K

Sunday, March 3rd @ 6:45AM

Morgan, Amalea, Kari, Kristin, Kelli, Sue, Me & Jodi

It was a SUPER COLD morning and VERY EARLY!

But we were excited to get the race started. It was most of these women's first race.

It was such a blessing to have Darin there to chauffeur us and then take pictures for us with literally everyone's camera or phone.

Thanks Honey!!

Anxious to start!

It ended up being a hillier race then I expected. Thankfully the perseverance only had to last for 3 miles. :-)

Here comes Sue to the finish line. Our Pastor's wife beat us all!!

Then Kelli!

Then Me. We were each 1 minute apart. Somehow the "trainer" came in 3rd…..sheesh!

Then Kari & Kirstin came in together. Followed by Morgan & Amalea.

The post race snack….Hot Chocolate and Chocolate Fondue!! So yummy!

Saying Good-bye to Grandma

Or as the kids called her, Gigi. :-)

Grandma peacefully passed away Sunday morning, 2.24.13.

Her funeral was Thursday, 2.28.13, in Shelton.

We are thankful that Grandma's suffering on earth is over and we are rejoicing knowing that she is with Jesus - consumed in love and peace.

We said our good-byes to Grandma and then Dad performed a grave-side service.

It was a beautiful time sharing our memories of Grandma.
