We woke up to a beautiful day which was drastically different from the snow we woke up to the day before. My first birthday gift was my daughter waking up this morning pretty normal acting after the scary night we had. We decided that we would continue with the birthday plans that Darin had arranged. I am normally the one that makes the plans, but he had surprised me and thought of a wonderful day for me. I came downstairs and had pretty mini carnations and a couple of cards. I opened the kids cards and there was a print out of a Blackberry....good thinking kids. :0) I said that I would love one, but maybe I wanted a new camera instead. Darin said that he had thought of that too. So then I opened his card and there was a print out of the new Canon camera in it. He is always one step ahead....what a guy!! :0) We left the kids with Nana and headed to Seattle spend the day and stay the night at the Sheraton.
- Lunch at Ivars on the waterfront and a little shopping.
- Went to the Verizon store and we both got Blackberry Curves.
- Went to Tap House for drinks and time to play with our Blackberrys.
- Walked around looking at cameras.
- Went to Pike Place.
- Had an early dinner at McCormick & Schmidts.....mmmm, yum!
- Went back to the hotel and did a little hot tubing & relaxing.
- Decided to see the 9:15pm of "He's Just Not That Into You".
- Ended the evening at The Cheesecake Factory to share dessert (Adam's Peanut Butter.....to die for!!).
What a really wonderful day.......thank you Honey!!

Happy Birthday Heather! Sounds like you had a wonderful time! In all honesty, my all time favorite place to stay is down town Seattle! Dave and I were just at the Market today for lunch after a business meeting. You two are standing in front of one of our all time favorite places to stay, "The Inn at the Market!" Not only is it a wonderful hotel, but we love how you can walk out the door and wa-la you are at the Market. Dinners, shops, shows and ferryboat rides all with in walking distance. And in the summer time you can lay on the roof on their chairs and watch the happenings in the water and the area...beautiful at night as well. We always get the water front rooms, well worth the price and wait. You can even buy their amazing Robes, which I highly recommend!...lol Hugs and Happy Birthday you young thing you!
