Friday a Realtor responded to my Zillow ad for our home. She wanted to bring a young couple through over the weekend. The couple has been looking on the island for awhile and have been out bid once or twice. It ends up that the couple is the Realtor's god-daughter. I had a good feeling talking with her. We decided on Sunday at 11am.
So Saturday after my 10k, I came home and Darin & I cleaned and cleaned.
Sunday after my 2nd 10k, I came home to get a quick shower before getting to the 11am service. I kept hoping that they didn't come early. Just as I was rounding up my things to leave, Newman met them at the door. I got to the meet the Realtor, Sophia, and the couple looking at our home, Kimberly & David. It turns out that Kimberly just ran her first Half last month in Issaquah with her husband. We talked a little bit about that and then I headed out the door. Really cute couple!
That afternoon Sophia called us and told us that she would be bringing us an offer!
Monday morning Sophia came over and presented us the offer.
Kimberly wrote us this letter.
Is this not the sweetest letter?! How can you not accept their offer.
We did accept their offer with a small counter and they accepted our counter.
This will no longer by our home by May 31st.
All of the different memories in this house keep on going through my mind. I am very excited to move into our new home, but I am sad to leave this one. I remember walking into this home with Darin and we both couldn't believe that it was in our price range. We LOVED it. It was more house then we ever dreamed. We will have lived here just short of 10 years. Oh how life has changed in that time.
I am knee deep in decisions on the remodel of our new home.
The remodel starts June 4th. We plan on pretty much living in our camping trailer the months of June, July and probably the first part of August. It will be an adventure…..right?! Thankfully we bought a little bigger one this Fall. The kids and I might even stay at the Thousand Trails in Leavenworth for the month of July. It will all be worth it.
We will again be moving into a home that we can't believe is ours!

Yay! That is awesome, I love that letter. How cool to know your home is going to great people:)
That really is one tear-jerking letter. I know how hard it must have been for you. I recently sold our house of 30 years, and the thoughts of the kids growing up there and all the holidays we shared is sometimes too much to bear. I know we can not go back, I just think all that good karma will hopefully reside with the new owners.
