Heart Healthy!

I went to see my cardiologist today for my 1 year check-up, which is the longest I have waited to see him in 7 years.

He first saw my EKG when I was in labor with Elissa (May 29, 2004) and my heart rate was skyrocketing. Since then I have been on medicine to control my fast heart rate due to supra ventricular tachicardia. Well, that is until last Summer when I had my 4th ablation on June 8th. The procedure seemed to work and we were praying that this one would "stick".

Since June 8, 2010 I have ran 4 half marathons and have had no trouble at all.

Today he did another EKG and it looked like a perfectly healthy heart's EKG. My blood pressure and heart  rate were perfect. He asked me if I have had any trouble and I said no. So his response was, "you are healthy and I only need to see you as needed". It was a little anticlimactic since I have been with him for 7 years and I'm one of his tougher and definitely younger patients. Give me a hug or something. Cry with me! But that's a guy for you. LOL! So I pray I don't ever have to see him again. :-)

Thank you Lord for this gift! And I do see it as a gift. It has been a long and trying road at times. It is awesome to have this health issue behind me and I pray it stays there.

Thank you for your prayers through these years too.
