Wednesday was another day at Hapuna Beach.
Elissa had met a friend the day before and he was back today. She spent the morning playing with Bowen. Zach was trying to play with them too. :-)
Grandma got out with the kids to boogie board.
Then they got Grandma to pull them around.
Thursday, Happy Valentine's Day!
Zach was so excited to see the gardeners using swords to cut down the bushes.
Today we went to a new beach, Mauna Kea.
Nana and Elissa decided to stay home and then called us an hour later to come get them. :-)
It was a good thing that Elissa decided to come down because there was a girl her age at the beach and the girl had a brother Zach's age - Eleanor and Henry.
There were whales not far off shore, but I couldn't get any pictures of them. It is hard to determine when and where they are going to surface.
That night Darin and I went out to dinner for Valentine's at Brown's Beach House at the Fairmont Orchid hotel.
Friday we went back to Mauna Kea beach, hoping that the kids' friends would be back.
Nana went on a grand island circle tour.
Their friends were back. :-)
I also got a few pictures of the whales today.
We were blown off the beach after that. The trade winds were crazy today. There were beach chairs rolling down the beach and boogie boards flying everywhere. Darin nearly missed getting hit. We stayed for an hour or so hoping that it would calm down, but it was just getting worse. The kids were NOT happy about leaving, but we couldn't take the sand blasting any more.
We spent the rest of the afternoon chilling in the condo and the pool.

Heather! Your pictures are soooo pretty. My favorite one is the one with the empty chairs on the beach and the people in the water. Needs to be framed!!! Love it!
Thank you Holly! In the background is grandpa, Zach & Elissa w/their friends they made at the beach. I know you would be taking phenomenal pics here, so I appreciate your liking my attempt. :-)
