Gordon Lightfoot is 71yrs old and is still touring - through casinos. We went and saw him at the Snoqualmie Casino because our good friend, Kirk Jones, was VERY excited to go see him. We thought, it will be a fun night out with friends and the music won't be that bad.
Gordon sings folk art......well he use to. He really doesn't "sing" anymore. It is more like small breaths of air coming out and sometimes you can hear words. LOL! I seriously think he probably needed oxygen treatments after.
After a few songs, Kirstin and I gracefully made our exit......with Kirk's prompting....I don't think he liked our giggling and whispering.... :-)
I have never been in a casino and I have never gambled (I've never even bought a lottery ticket). I just think there are better things to spend my money on - way better things. So Kirstin taught me how to play the penny wheel of fortune game. I put in $5 and played for a long time. It was fun! Especially when you get to spend the wheel and get a whole bunch of points!
The guys came out soon after. Gordon just couldn't last that long. hee, hee I went bust after Darin came and Kirstin gave me a $1 to play some more. I ended up getting a lot of points and cashed out at $10!!
We did eat at a really YUMMY restaurant - Coho Cafe in Issaquah. The food was good! And of course the company was excellent!!Kirstin, Kirk, Adam and Angie we missed you!
Kirk doesn't get to pick our entertainment for awhile..... hee, hee
