This too shall be forgotten.....
I don't remember it being so hard with Elissa, though I'm sure I went through as much struggle with her. I have heard that boys are harder and you should really wait until they are 3yrs to potty train and I believe that is probably what I should have done. At least put off the misery a little longer. :-)
Last Tuesday I was literally in tears with frustration. I was so tired of cleaning up pee pee and poo poo and just didn't know what to do. He would go a couple of days doing great and then he would decide that he just didn't care anymore. Aaaahhhh!!
Zach found some after Easter sale gifts that I had put away - for him actually. Just some big eggs with cars in them and so I decided to use these to encourage him to go poo poo in the potty. Well, it has worked too well. I went and bought 5 matchbox at Target and he blew through them and then Saturday we bought a big set at Costco which he is working through. I tried to change it to 1 a day, but Darin said that he doesn't understand and I need to stick to each time.

On the other hand, he hasn't had an accident in several days! Now he yells, "I have to go potty!" and then strips and as soon as he walks into the bathroom he starts singing his I love Daddy/Mommy/Papa/Nana.....whoever is on his mind....song. It is SO cute! He is such a character.
