A tornado in Buckley?!

Sunday, 9-6-09
I was reading my friend Sara's blog about the beautiful rainbow she captured and I had taken a picture of the rainbow that same day too, so I just had to post my pic too. :-)

Sunday was one of the craziest weather days in the Seattle area. Rain was coming down by the bucket fulls and then suddenly it would be sunny and then windy and then the rain would come back.

The kids were going crazy, so we headed to the Supermall to let them run around in the play area. Apparently everyone else had the some idea because it was packed! It has been full before, but kids were on top of each other there were so many. After that we headed to Red Robin for dinner. As we were eating, Darin looks out the window and the weather is going crazy. The wind is whipping the bushes and the rain is sideways. Little did we know that a tornado was touching down in the Buckley/Enumclaw area around the same time.

A friend emailed me to see if we were ok because she had heard about all the destruction in our area. I had no idea what she was talking about. I searched the news and found out about the tornado. Craziness!

On Saturday as we were headed out to the White River Amphitheatre, we saw where the tornado touched down and the barn that was torn apart. It is literally less than 10miles from our house. Again, craziness!!
